COOKIE POLICY OF monoloco.live

This Cookie Policy describes, in a transparent manner, the cookies and similar technologies used by the monoloco.live website (hereinafter the "Site"), the brand of the MONOLOCO events format and the MONOLOCO SOUND record label. This document supplements the Privacy Policy (Arts. 13-14 GDPR) and should be read together with it.

In short, and in all honesty: this Site does NOT use profiling cookies, does NOT install Google Analytics, does NOT install the Meta/Facebook Pixel or any other advertising tracking tools. The only cookie actually used is a first-party technical cookie that serves to remember the choice expressed in the banner. The fonts are hosted directly on our own servers (self-hosted): no call is therefore made to Google Fonts and no IP address is transmitted to Google for loading the typefaces. The Cloudflare Turnstile anti-bot system is set up, but currently DISABLED, on the demo form only.

2. WHAT COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES ARE

Cookies are small text files that websites save on the user's device (computer, smartphone, tablet) during browsing, to then be retransmitted to those same sites on the next visit. Similar technologies (e.g. localStorage, sessionStorage, pixels/web beacons, fingerprinting) perform comparable functions of storing or reading information on the device. In this policy, for the sake of simplicity, the term "cookie" also includes such equivalent technologies.
Depending on their function, cookies are classified into:

Depending on who sets them, cookies are "first-party" (set directly by monoloco.live) or "third-party" (set by external domains).

3. WHICH COOKIES THIS SITE USES

3.1 Technical consent cookie (first-party) — ALWAYS ACTIVE

When you interact with the banner, the Site saves a first-party technical cookie named "monoloco_consent" (alternatively an equivalent entry in the browser's localStorage) that stores solely your choice regarding the cookie categories. It serves to avoid showing you the banner on every page and on every visit. It contains no identifying data, does not profile and is not shared with third parties. It is a necessary cookie and, as such, does not require consent.

3.2 Statistical cookies — NONE ACTIVE

At present the Site does NOT use any statistical/analytics cookie or tool (no Google Analytics, no measurement platform). The category is provided for in the banner but is empty. Should a statistical tool be introduced in the future, it will be activated only subject to your consent and this policy will be updated accordingly.

3.3 Marketing / profiling cookies — NONE ACTIVE

At present the Site does NOT install the Meta/Facebook Pixel, nor any other advertising or profiling pixels, tags or cookies. The fact that the brand promotes its events with advertisements on Facebook and Instagram (Meta) does NOT entail the presence of any tracker on the Site: the campaigns take place entirely on the Meta platforms and not on monoloco.live. The "marketing" category is provided for in the banner but is empty. Any future tools (e.g. Meta Pixel) will be activated only subject to your explicit consent.

3.4 Cloudflare Turnstile (anti-bot security) — SET UP BUT CURRENTLY DISABLED

On the demo submission form only (the /demo page), integration with Cloudflare Turnstile is set up — an anti-bot/anti-spam tool provided by Cloudflare, Inc. that verifies that the submission does not originate from automated systems. This is a security measure necessary to protect the service. At present the system is DISABLED and no script is loaded nor any cookie set by Cloudflare. If it is activated in the future, Turnstile may set a third-party technical/security cookie and entail a technical transfer of data to Cloudflare; in that case this policy will be updated to indicate the cookies and their respective purposes. As this is a strictly necessary security measure, it operates without the need for consent, but information will be provided in any event.

3.5 Self-hosted typefaces (fonts) — NO THIRD PARTIES

The Site's fonts are hosted directly on our own servers. The Site no longer loads the typefaces from Google Fonts (the fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com domains): consequently, no user IP address is communicated to Google for loading the typefaces and no third-party cookie related to the fonts is set.

5. LINKS TO SOCIAL MEDIA AND THIRD-PARTY SERVICES (LINKS ONLY, NO WIDGETS)

The Site contains outbound LINKS to external platforms — Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp, SoundCloud, Facebook, Nightify (tickets/accreditations) and Google Maps (for the geolocation of the venues). These are simple hyperlinks: they are NOT widgets, players or embedded content ("embeds") and therefore do not load scripts or set third-party cookies while you remain on the Site. Only when you click on one of these links and are redirected to the external service may the latter process your data and set its own cookies in accordance with its respective privacy/cookie policies, over which the Data Controller has no control whatsoever. We invite you to consult the policies of the individual services.

6. DATA COLLECTED THROUGH FORMS AND THE NEWSLETTER

Regardless of cookies, the Site collects personal data through: (a) the "Demo Submission" form on the /demo page (stage name, email, private link to the track, social media, city, message), processed solely for the evaluation of the demo subject to consent; (b) subscription to the newsletter / marketing communications, on the basis of opt-in consent that may be revoked at any time. Such processing is described in detail in the Privacy Policy. For sending emails the Data Controller relies on technical providers: the Aruba mailbox (EU) as the primary channel and SMTP2GO (USA) as a fallback; the newsletter is managed via the self-hosted listmonk platform on a Hetzner server (Germany/EU) with delivery via SMTP2GO (in the past Brevo, EU, was used). Any recourse to SMTP2GO entails a transfer of data to the United States, carried out in compliance with Arts. 44 et seq. GDPR (e.g. standard contractual clauses and/or adherence to the Data Privacy Framework). This processing concerns the data you voluntarily provide in the forms and does not derive from tracking cookies.

7. HOW TO GIVE, MODIFY OR WITHDRAW CONSENT

On your first visit a banner appears that allows you to: (i) accept all optional categories; (ii) reject them (continuing with the necessary technical cookies only); (iii) customise your choice by individual category. The accept and reject options are given equal prominence. As long as we do not install statistical or marketing cookies, accepting or rejecting the optional categories does not, in fact, produce any additional tracking: the banner nonetheless remains available to you for when such tools may be introduced.
You may modify or withdraw your choices at any time via the "Manage cookies" / "Cookie preferences" link in the footer of the Site, which reopens the preferences panel. Withdrawal is as simple as granting consent and does not affect the lawfulness of the processing based on the consent given prior to withdrawal. Your choice is stored for 6 months, after which, in the absence of changes, the banner may be shown to you again.

8. HOW TO MANAGE COOKIES FROM THE BROWSER

You may also manage, restrict or block cookies through your browser settings and delete those already stored. Disabling technical cookies could, however, impair some functions of the Site (for example storing your choice on the banner). Below are the official guides of the most widely used browsers:

9. TRANSFERS OF DATA OUTSIDE THE EU

Browsing the Site does not, in itself, entail transfers of data outside the European Union: hosting is on Aruba S.p.A. (EU data centre) and the fonts are self-hosted. Any extra-EU transfers may occur only: (a) in the event of activation of Cloudflare Turnstile on the /demo form (Cloudflare, Inc., USA); (b) for the sending of emails via the SMTP2GO fallback (USA), as indicated in point 6. Such transfers, where they occur, are supported by the safeguards provided for in Chapter V of the GDPR (standard contractual clauses and/or adequacy mechanisms such as the Data Privacy Framework).

10. UPDATES TO THIS COOKIE POLICY

The Data Controller may update this Cookie Policy to reflect technical, regulatory or organisational changes (for example the possible future introduction of statistical tools or the Meta Pixel). The current version is always published on this page with the indication of the date of last update. Should new cookies subject to consent be introduced, you will be asked again to express your preferences.

11. LEGAL REFERENCES, RIGHTS AND COMPLAINTS

This policy is drawn up pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), Art. 122 of Legislative Decree 196/2003 (Privacy Code), Directive 2002/58/EC (ePrivacy) and the "Guidelines on cookies and other tracking tools" of the Italian Data Protection Authority of 10 June 2021 (in force since 9 January 2022).
You have the right, among other things, to access your data, rectify it, erase it, restrict or object to its processing, as well as to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise your rights write to events@monoloco.live (or demos@monoloco.live for data relating to demos). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it).
